Страны СНГ, находясь в свое время в составе Союза за железным занавесом, отстали от Запада в ряде нововведений. И одна из них – любительское студенческое радиовещание.

В чем оно состоит? Судя по разрозненным данням из Интернета, многие университеты получают право на некоммерческое радиовещание на СВ и FMдиапазонах. Тематика: новости студенческой жизни, туризм, отдых, учеба и, конечно, музыка. Радиус охвата обычно – в пределах студгородков и ближайших районов. Мы уже писали об инициативах Сергея Комарова, который в России вот уже шесть лет занимается продвижением идеи любительського радиовещания. ·                                 Fresh Air- Edinburgh's alternative music student radio station. Includes news, broadcast schedule, events and forum.

·                                 Fuse FM- Manchester Student Radio - broadcasts twice yearly on FM radio and the Internet.

·                                 GU2 Radio 1350am- Information on the student radio station for the University of Surrey.

·                                 ICON- University of Liverpool student radio station. Includes streaming audio, a schedule, information about events, and committee contacts.

·                                 Imperial College Radio- Broadcasts to halls in Imperial College London. Features audio streams, a webcam and station information.

·                                 KCC Live - The Official Radio Station Of Knowsley Community College- KCC Live - The Official Radio Station Of Knowsley Community College broadcasting across campus on 1251MW and the worldwide web

·                                 LSR- Leeds University student radio.

·                                 Loughborough Campus Radio 1350AM- The official radio station of Loughborough Students' Union. Schedule, presenters, charts and playlist information. Available on AM and live web stream.

·                                 Purple Radio- Durham University's student radio station. Includes schedule, playlist, webcam and live audio stream.

·                                 RaW - Student radio station for the University of Warwick, Coventry.

·                                 RamAir FM - University of Bradford. Includes schedule, playlist, presenter profiles, webcams and a history of the station.

·                                 Shock Radio - Broadcasting from Salford University, Manchester. History, team information, events, downloads, reviews, press section, FAQ, forum and competitions.

·                                 Student Radio Association - The national representative body for student radio stations.

·                                 Subcity Radio - University of Glasgow's student radio station. Includes station information, news, reviews, live webstream and archive.
